The R.E.D. Album, which was originally due in stores on June 15th, has been pushed back to August 24th.
Last Wednesday (June 23rd), Game was in
In the studio with Game was chart-topping rapper Drake, who laid down a verse for the song “Good Girl, Bad Girl” and Queen
Drake is a breath of fresh air for everybody, he’s cool, clean and he aint got no drama or beef,” Game told AllHipHop.com. “The chicks love him, the n***as support him.”
Drake’s latest album received a lot of support, moving over 446,000 copies during the first week of its release, on June 15th.
Prior to the album’s release, Interscope changed the June 15th release date of Thank Me Later and Game accurately predicted Drake’s success.
“Me, I am just trying to feed my family and remain potent in Hip-Hop,” Game told AllHipHop.com. “I know the caliber emcee that I am and I know for a fact I am needed in Hip-Hop. I am one of the few cats left that really cares about the essence of Hip-Hop. I can’t disrespect the colorful Hip-Hop or the “drake” era, so I have to blend into what Hip-Hop has elevated to, but I have to stay true to my roots. It’s longevity with me. I have a whole new motivation. I love music and I love where its going.”
The R.E.D. Album is due in stores August 24th.
wow...more charges for boosie... pleaded innocent.
Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, was in court for a total of about two minutes, where he stood before Judge Mike Erwin and pleaded not guilty to murdering 35-year-old Terry Boyd in October of 2009.
"I think he's absolutely not guilty. I think he meant what he said. He's absolutely not guilty,” Boosie’s defense attorney, Marcus Allen told WAFB Channel 9. “We're just going to prepare for his defense and get ready to address the charges."
District Attorney Hillar Moore declined to speak on the facts of the case after the hearing, but noted that Boosie was fighting several other cases, including drug conspiracy.
In addition to the 1st-degree murder charge, Lil Boosie is accused of smuggling codeine and marijuana pills into Hunt Correctional Institute with the help of an ex-correctional officer and his girlfriend y.
"I'd rather wait for the evidence to speak as to what happened," said District Attorney Hillar Moore. "He's got several different cases, so it depends on which one you're talking about. He also has the introduction of the drugs into the prison and obviously, he's presumed innocent at this point."
Lil Boosie could face the death penalty if he is convicted of 1st degree murder.

Z-ro Heroin Album Review.
Heroin starts with its best production effort on “Never Let Go” where Z-Ro shines. Over a beat that is reminscent of work from former label-mate Scarface's The Fix, Z-Ro takes his confidence to another world. From there, the ABN emcee flips the script and goes with a commercial oriented feel. It is an initially disappointing, but in the scope of the project it makes sense. Throughout the album, Z-Ro experiences mood swings, both in the content and in the style. On“DenZel Washington” you get pure confidence, and a few tracks later “Blast Myself” shows the desperate side of solitude. Like depression, Z-Ro rides his highs and digs deep into his lows, and the art that comes of it is honest and telling. It doesn’t mean that the beginning of the album isn’t without flaws, but it does mean that those flaws seem deliberate. The at times tired content, on tracks like “Boss” puts “Do Bad On My Own” in perspective. Furthermore, even on cliché tracks, Z-Ro’s gift of harmonizing with the track is showcased.
Four tracks into Heroin, Z-Ro dives into a more personal narrative. “Thug Nigga” is deeper than the title suggests, while “Blast Myself” sees Z-Ro at his best. Lyrics like, “I ain’t trying to be a role model, but I am / what kind of role model get arrested for 300 grams? / I struggle with my addiction, I ain’t perfect / I realize it’s bringing me closer to my grave, so maybe it’s worth it” are haunting. The track is everything thatCelebrity Rehab and other reality driven drug abuse shows attempt to capture. The building beat, with Z-Ro attacking it to perfection makes it one of the better tracks released this year. "Blast Myself" is followed by the very good “Do Bad on my Own.”
The production on this album varies between a '90s Rap-A Lot vibe, and the modern day Houston sound. At times, the board-work seems to lack the instrumentation necessary in order to make it great. Even a very dope effort on “Blast Myself” had the potential to be classic with extra polish. With that said, evaluating Z-Ro’s production is like evaluating Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony beats. Their vocal harmonies are so distinctive that they change the entire texture of the music. Z-Ro’s vocal abilities and unique delivery and voice can allow for below average production to appear solid and in the case of “Blast Myself” good production to seem near great.
With the exception of good guest spots from Paul Wall and Chamillionaire, the remainder of features leave a lot to be desired. Lil Flip disappoints, as does Mike D. Also, cliché subject matter is sprinkled throughout the project. “Drive Me Wild” is out of place while “Gangsta Girl” is quite simply bad. “Move Ya Body” sees Z-Ro embracing a Reggae/Dancehall influence. The result is awkward and by all means a failure. Luckily for Z-Ro and this project, the good severely outweighs the bad.
Heroin is another solid addition to Z-Ro’s rather remarkable, definitely extensive catalogue. The listener is educated with more insight on the man’s struggles and blessed to listen to an artist who is superb at his craft. The album has its flaws but unlike many of his peers, Z-Ro brings forth an album that sounds complete. The ups and downs of the project make sense, and in the end, Z-Ro delivers another good album.
this boy vick is too retarded
If president obama shuts down the internet... at least you can defend yourself... im sure not for long though.
The next time your internet gets cut off, it may not be because of a bad connection or unpaid bill! It may be because the Senate just granted President Obama the right to shut the internet down completely for up to 4 months! Pop it to hear how your right to free speech is going up in flames.
While we have been blogging about the latest trends and distracted by the oil spill, the sneaky a** government has been passing bills to take away our rights. Under The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, Obama is granted “emergency powers” to shut down the internet without any congressional approval for a minimum of 4 months! For real doe, y’all need to read this sh*t.
President Obama will be handed the power to shut down the Internet for at least four months without Congressional oversight if the Senate votes for the infamous Internet ‘kill switch’ bill, which was approved by a key Senate committee yesterday and now moves to the floor.
The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, which is being pushed hard by Senator Joe Lieberman, would hand absolute power to the federal government to close down networks, and block incoming Internet traffic from certain countries under a declared national emergency.
Despite the Center for Democracy and Technology and 23 other privacy and technology organizations sending letters to Lieberman and other backers of the bill expressing concerns that the legislation could be used to stifle free speech, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee passed in the bill in advance of a vote on the Senate floor.
In response to widespread criticism of the bill, language was added that would force the government to seek congressional approval to extend emergency measures beyond 120 days. Still, this would hand Obama the authority to shut down the Internet on a whim without Congressional oversight or approval for a period of no less than four months.
If the fact that this bill has been passed and moved to the Senate doesn’t scare you, then this should. The people in government who oppose the bill are not saying it shouldn’t exist, they’re saying he ALREADY has the power to do this.
They argued “That the President already had authority under the Communications Act to “cause the closing of any facility or station for wire communication” when there is a “state or threat of war”, reports the Sydney Morning Herald. Fears that the legislation is aimed at bringing the Internet under the regulatory power of the U.S. government in an offensive against free speech were heightened further on Sunday, when Lieberman revealed that the plan was to mimic China’s policies of policing the web with censorship and coercion.“Right now China, the government, can disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war and we need to have that here too,” Lieberman told CNN’s Candy Crowley.
The real agenda behind government control of the Internet has always been to strangle and suffocate independent media outlets who are now competing with and even displacing establishment press organs, with websites like the Drudge Report now attracting more traffic than many large newspapers combined. As part of this war against independent media, the FTC recently proposing a “Drudge Tax” that would force independent media organizations to pay fees that would be used to fund mainstream newspapers.
Think about it. What reason could they REALLY have for shutting down the internet? They’re using the war as a pretext to do whatever the f** they want.
