Lil Wayne was sentenced to three years of probation in Arizona after a plea deal was reached with prosecutors in regards to gun/charges related to a January 2008 arrest. Lil Wayne’s tour bus was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint near Yuma, Arizona. A drug sniffing dog uncovered over four ounces of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of the drug Ecstasy and a .40 caliber pistol. Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug, while the gun and other drug charges were tossed. Lil Wayne is serving a one-year prison sentence on Rikers Island, for attempted weapons possession, after drugs and a .40 caliber pistol was found in the rapper’s handbag.
